A lock (2) for use with a door handle (16) is described. The lock comprises a locking washer (6) including an aperture (10) of substantially the same cross section as the handle spindle (28), a locking bar (4) cooperating with the locking washer (6) such that rotation of the latter causes rotation of the former, and a stop (24) for preventing rotation of the locking bar (4).

Cette invention concerne un dispositif de verrouillage (2) destiné à une poignée de porte (16). Ledit dispositif de verrouillage comporte premièrement une rondelle de verrouillage (6) à l'intérieur de laquelle est ménagée une ouverture (10) ayant sensiblement la même section transversale que l'axe de la poignée (28), deuxièmement une barre de verrouillage (4) coopérant avec la rondelle de verrouillage (6) de sorte que la rotation de cette dernière provoque la rotation de ladite barre, et troisièmement un organe d'arrêt (24) destiné à empêcher la rotation de la barre de verrouillage (4).
