A fishing hook is provided comprising a hook member and a spinner mounted thereon. The hook member includes a shaft portion extending in a longitudinal direction from a leading end for securement to a fishing line to a trailing end supporting a generally U-shaped curved portion extending from the shaft portion. The spinner is mounted on the shaft portion of the hook in fixed relation to the shaft portion and has a surface spanning outwardly from the shaft portion transversely to the longitudinal direction of the shaft portion. When pulled through the water, the spinner forces rotation of the hook member and the bait supported thereon. A swivel may be provided for coupling the fishing hook to the fishing line to prevent line twisting.
