ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A belt assembly comprising a belt member including a pair of end portions and a roller member engaging portion, first and second splice members each including a belt engaging surface having a flat section that engages one of the end portions, and a curved section including a first segment and a second segment engageable with the roller member engaging portion. The first and second segments of each splice member include respective first and second radii of curvature, the second radius of curvature being greater than the first radius of curvature. A plurality of bolts are provided for fastening the first and second splice members together to secure therebetween the end portions of the belt member.
