- 1 - Abstract: The present invention is directed to a splicing device for packaging webs. It comprises a magazine capable of housing a roll of web in any production position into which a packaging web is to be fed and two stand-by positions Located to the left and right of said production position and a splicing unit for joining the end of the packaging web to be processed and the top end of a roll of web moved out from either stand-by position to the production position with each other. The splicing unit is provided at the production position in the middle between the two stand-by positions.
