SPLIT WHEEL CASTER ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a caster having a roller, or wheel, that is split whereby to give the effect of a dual, or two wheel caster to afford the load sup- porting capacity of the double caster but reducing the overall width of the caster approximately to that of a one wheel caster by utilizing a narrow center yoke to bring the pair of wheels mounted at respectively opposite sides thereof more closely together, thus achieving the narrow width of the caster as a whole. The center yoke comprises a die casting for compactness and to achieve the necessary design for supporting strength, while accomodating the closely fitting wheel elements which spread the load thereon similarly to a dual wheel caster.
