The present invention relates to the positive identification of spoiled newsprint from press room where newsprint is printed, to mailing room where newsprint is shipped. The device here in this document referred to as Spoiled Newsprint Identifier, identifies spoil- ed newsprint by spraying a band of coloured dye on to it where it can be seen and identified. This prevents shipment of spoiled newsprint to the vendors. This invention is also useful to identify spoiled printed matter other than that of newsprint such as books, magazines, advertisment flyers or similar printing material printing operation. It does not spray if the newsprint is not in front of the nozzle. It does not spray if the conveyor line is not moving. It does not over spray conveyor lines or related equipment.
