A sports ball comprises a hollow spherical-shaped inflatable tube; a covering layer comprising a thin rubber pouch and covering the tube; a reinforced layer which is adhered on the surface of the covering layer with a solution of an adhesive agent and an outer layer formed on the surface of the reinforced layer. The covering layer is made of a material which does not permit the solution of the adhesive agent to pass therethrough and an inorganic lubricant is disposed between the tube and the covering layer, so that adhesion between the tube and the covering layer is prevented. A method for making a sports ball includes the steps of: inserting an inflatable tube into a covering layer which comprises a thin rubber pouch and is made of a material which does not permit the solution of an adhesive agent to pass through the covering layer; injecting a powder of an inorganic lubricant into the covering layer; and inflating the inflatable tube into a spherical shape. A reinforced layer is attached on the surface of the covering layer with the solution of an adhesive agent, alignment guides are formed on the surface of the reinforced layer by molding, and an outer layer is attached on the surface of the reinforced layer along those alignment guides. Alternatively, a method includes the steps of: spreading a powder or a suspension of an inorganic lubricant on an inflatable tube; inserting the tube into a covering layer which comprises a thin rubber pouch and is made of a material which does not permit the solution of an adhesive agent to pass through the covering layer; inflating the inflatable tube into a spherical shape and attaching a reinforced layer on the surface of the covering layer with the solution of an adhesive agent. Alignment guides are formed on the surface of the reinforced layer by molding, and an outer layer is attached on the surface of the reinforced layer along those alignment guides.
Balle pour usage sportif comprenant une vessie sphérique gonflable, une couche de recouvrement en forme de mince pochette en caoutchouc destinée à recouvrir la vessie, une couche renforcée collée, à l'aide d'un adhésif, sur la surface de la couche de recouvrement, et une couche externe formée sur la surface de la couche renforcée. Le matériau dans lequel est fabriquée la couche de recouvrement est imperméable à la solution d'adhésif. Un lubrifiant inorganique est placé entre la vessie et la couche de recouvrement afin d'éviter que ces deux dernières ne collent ensemble. La méthode de fabrication de la présente invention consiste à : insérer une vessie gonflable dans une couche de recouvrement en forme de mince pochette de caoutchouc imperméable à une solution d'adhésif; injecter un lubrifiant inorganique en poudre sous la couche de recouvrement; gonfler la vessie; fixer une couche renforcée, sur laquelle sont moulés des guides d'alignement qui servent à aligner une couche externe fixée sur la surface renforcée, sur la surface de la couche de recouvrement à l'aide d'un adhésif. Une autre méthode de fabrication consiste à : enduire la vessie d'un lubrifiant inorganique en poudre ou en suspension; insérer la vessie dans la couche de recouvrement en forme d'une mince pochette de caoutchouc imperméable à une solution d'adhésif; gonfler la vessie et fixer la couche renforcée sur la surface de la couche de couverture à l'aide d'une solution d'adhésif. La surface de la couche renforcée comprend des guides d'alignement moulés, qui servent à aligner la couche externe qui se fixe sur la surface de la couche renforcée.
