Many major cereal manufacturers currently package their product in cardboard boxes with plastic liners. To get to the product, the cardboard, glued, top flap and the sealed, plastic liner must be opened manually. Existing cardboard and plastic liners typically tear during the opening process resulting in constricted or cumbersome pouring characteristics, and virtually no ability to properly re- seal the packaging to prolong product freshness. The spout of this invention is designed to use the original manufacturers' packaging and gain access to the product by piercing directly through the packaging and into the product. A sealing surface on the entry stop flange surface and a removable cap provide the ability to properly reseal the container to preserve freshness at virtually the same level as the original product. This spout can be altered slightly in size and rigidity and used to gain access to any small diameter product packaged in a rigid container. i.e.: Powdered laundry/dishwasher detergent in boxes or any small diameter food products packed in boxes.
