ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spray can comprises (a) a water-repellent surface treating agent composed of a polyorgano- siloxane represented by the general formula, Ho[(CH3)2SiO]nH wherein n is a numeral of the value of 5000 to 100000, and possessed of hydroxyl groups one each at the opposite terminals thereof and a silane coupling agent, (b) a solvent capable of assum- ing a gaseous state at room temperature under atmospheric pressure and (c) a can body to be filled with the components (a) and (b), the can may also con- tain: (i) a silicone oil as a freezing property improving agent, (ii) ? -aminopropyl triethoxy silane coupling agent, (iii) dibutyl tin dilaurate as a catalyst, and (iv) a mixed solvent consisting of 1,1,1-trichloroethane and 1,1,1-trichloroethylene and used for the dissolution of the composition of the components; the can overcomes problems associated with spray cans containing a low pressure gas and which are left standing at temperatures of the order of 80°C resulting in significant increase in pressure within the can.
