SPRAY GUN Abstract An air atomization paint spray gun. A paint control valve is located at the front of the gun. A cone on the end of a valve needle is moved forward away from a valve seat to initiate spraying. The paint to be atomized is discharged from an outwardly diverging conical annular passage. Atomization air is directed through an inwardly converging conical annular passage against the discharged paint. The paint valve arrangement prevents clogging of the paint discharge orifice from dried paint after the spray gun is turned off.
