IMPROVEMENTS IN BUILDINGS A B S T R A C T A building structure having at least one exterior wall formed from at least two layers separated by an air gap, the inner layer having integral ribs projecting towards the outer layer or layers, the ribs extending in a generally out- ward direction, and reinforcing bars embedded in the ribs and between the inner and outer layer or layers, and having portions extending into the outer layer to tie that layer to the ribs, the inner and preferably at least one outer layer being formed of cementitious material. Preferably the reinforcing bars are formed in a zig-zag shape.
