ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A snare is rapidly tied around the animal paw by means of a spring assembly triggered when the animal pulls on a bait support located in a recessed area. Once the animal is caught, the spring assembly is freed from the snare and its anchoring cable to prevent the animal from harming it.
