ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A spring means for use in a plate-type valve com- prises a generally planar spine and spaced apart on opposite sides thereof two planar side members. The side members are integrally formed with the spine and with a plurality of in- terconnecting planar bars. Resiliently flexible fingers ex- tend from both the spine and the side members angularly with respect thereto and reach their maximum distance from the plane of the spine at different distances from the spine. The invention also embraces a plate-type valve incorporating such a spring means.
