ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sprinkler head wherein an engagement face for engagement by a locking member is formed on the inner surface of an inwardly raised portion of a frame. and locking protrusions are formed on the upper and lower sides of the engagement face for preventing disengagement of the locking member from the engagement face, in order to ensure accurate and positive locking engagement of the locking member, and wherein an elastic member is interposed between the lower end of a sprinkler head body and the plug member, with a screw member being put in thread engagement with the inner periphery of the plug member, so that by threaded disengagement of the screw member from the plug member the plug member is allowed to shift toward an outlet port, whereby the elastic member is tensioned under a predetermined pressing force to enable the plug member to effect satisfactory descending movement.
