The cold frame has been used for many years by these people for these purposes. The cold frame extends the grow- ing seasons by protecting plants from freezing or damage from cooler temperatures. It is also used for transfer of plants to and from greenhouses known as hardening-off process. It is also used for the stroage of fruits and vegatables thru the winter months.
