Disclosed are certain benzoxazepinones and benzothiazepinones of the formula I Image (wherein X is O, S, SO or SO2; Y is CO or CH2; R1, R2, R3, R9 and R20 are H or substituent; R4 is alkenyl or optionally substituted alkyl; Z is COOH, CN, heterocycle or the like) useful as hypocholesterolemic agents, hypotriglyceridemic agents, antiatherosclerosis agents, antifungal agents, Alzheimer's agents or anti-acne agents.

On présente certains benzoxazépinones et benzothiazipinones de formule I <voir figure 1> (où X équivaut à O, S, SO ou SO2; Y équivaut à CO ou CH2; R1, R2, R3, R9 et R20 équivalent à H ou à un substitut; R4 est un alkényle ou un alkyle substitué au choix; Z équivaut à COOH, CN, un composé hétérocyclique ou semblable). Cette formule peut être utilisée pour des agents hypocholestérolémiques, hypotriglycéridémiques, antiathéroscléreux, antifongiques, anti Alzheimers ou antiachéïques.
