Squeegee apparatus (14) for squeegeeing excess material from a surface (12), from which surface at least a portion of the material remaining after squeegeeing is to be transferred to a second surface (16), comprising a first surface, having a central portion and two end portions having recessed surfaces and having a liquid material thereon at least in said central portion, said surface moving in a given direction at a squeegee region and a second, squeegee surface, urged against at least the central portion of the imaging surface at the squeegee region. In the preferred embodiments of the invention the squeegee apparatus is used in imaging apparatus, preferably utilizing liquid toner.

Organe racleur (14) servant à évacuer par raclage la matière excédentaire d'une surface (12) d'où au moins une partie de la matière restant après le raclage doit être transférée sur une seconde surface (16), comportant une première surface présentant une partie centrale et deux parties terminales à surfaces creuses, et portant une matière liquide au moins dans ladite partie centrale, cette surface étant déplacée dans un sens donné au niveau d'une zone de raclage, ainsi qu'une seconde surface dite de raclage pressée contre au moins la partie centrale de la surface de formation d'images au niveau de la zone de raclage. Selon les modes préférés de réalisation, cet organe racleur est utilisé dans un appareil de formation d'images, utilisant de préférence du toner liquide.
