Apparatus, and an associated method (500), for a multi-branch receiver (10). A receive signal (12) is received at various receiver branches (14) of the multi- branch receiver (10). Subsequent to selected processing stages (28, 44, 56) of processing of the receive signal (12), determinations (34) are made of the signal quality of the signal in the receiver branches (14). When determinations (34) are made that the signal quality of the signal of a particular receiver branch (14) is of poor quality, further processing of the signal (12) in the branch is squelched (38, 52, 64).
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé (500) associé audit système, destinés à un récepteur à branchement multiple (10). Un signal de réception (12) est capté sur différents branchements de réception (14) du récepteur à branchement multiple (10). Après sélection de phases de traitement (28, 44, 56) du signal de réception (12), des déterminations (34) sont établies concernant la qualité de signal du signal sur les branchements de réception (14). Si les déterminations (34) établies indiquent que la qualité de signal du signal d'un branchement de réception (14) donné est de qualité médiocre, le traitement ultérieur du signal (12) sur ledit branchement est soumis à un réglage silencieux (38, 52, 64).
