Solutions of alkylphosphocholines in glycerol alkyl ethers can be prepared in a storage stable manner and without preservatives and oxidation protection agents by adjusting the pH value to a range between 4 pH and 6 pH. The alkylphosphocholines have the general formula: (see formula I) wherein R is a C12-20 alkyl which may have a double or triple bond. The glycerol alkyl esters have the general formula: Image wherein one of R1 and R2 is a C2-12 alkyl and the other is H. The stable solutions have anti-tumor applications.
