ABSTRACT A stabilised superoxide dismutase (SOD) composition contains as additives cyclodextrin, preferably hydropropyl-.beta.- cyclodextrin, and either a sugar or a sugar alcohol, preferably mannitol. Freeze-dried formulations of the composition according to the invention yield clear solutions with a high enzymatic activity on resolvation.
