A stabiliser tool (15) for a drill string (10) has a circular body (16) with recesses (17) containing projecting pad assemblies (18) arranged in a spaced helical configuration, each pad assembly (18) having at least one projecting wear block (20) maintained in abutment with an under cut recess surface by a wedge block (21) the outer wear surface (30) being of harder material than the remainder of the blocks (20, 21).

L'invention porte sur un outil stabilisateur (15), utilisable dans une colonne de forage (10), constitué d'un corps de forme circulaire (16) pourvu d'évidements contenant des ensembles amortisseur faisant saillie (18), séparés les uns des autres selon une disposition en hélice, comportant chacun au moins un bloc d'usure en saillie (20) maintenu en position attenante à une surface en retrait creusée par un bloc de fixation (21), la surface d'usure extérieure (30) étant constituée d'un matériau plus dur que le reste des blocs (20, 21).
