A control system for a vehicle having first and second axles (26, 30) is provided that includes a coupling apparatus (32) adapted to distribute torque between the first and second axles (26, 30) and a traction controller (64) for controlling operation of the differential apparatus from vehicle launch up to a predetermined vehicle speed. The traction controller is configured to engage the coupling apparatus (32) in a first operating state according to at least one vehicle operating parameter indicative of a low traction operating condition, in particular based on speed difference between the first and second axle (26, 30) and to further control engagement of the coupling apparatus in a second vehicle operating state during the low traction operating condition according to a difference between an actual vehicle yaw rate and a predetermined target vehicle yaw rate.
L'invention concerne un système de commande destiné à un véhicule possédant des premier et second axes comprenant un appareil de couplage conçu de manière à répartir le couple entre les premier et second axes et un dispositif de commande de traction destiné à commander le fonctionnement de l'appareil différentiel d'un véhicule lancé à une vitesse prédéfinie. Le dispositif de commande de traction est conçu de manière à placer l'appareil de couplage dans un premier état de fonctionnement en fonction d'au moins un paramètre de fonctionnement de véhicule indicatif d'une condition de fonctionnement de traction faible et à commander en outre le placement de l'appareil de couplage dans un second état de fonctionnement de véhicule durant la condition de fonctionnement de traction faible en fonction d'une différence entre un taux de lacet de véhicule courant et un taux de lacet de véhicule cible prédéfini.
