Stirrup and can elevating platform components (20) are disclosed which, in normal operation, do not tilt or mis-align smaller footprint cans as the cans are successively transferred to and elevated by a can platform (50) or a wear plate (90) superimposed upon the can platform (50) prior to and during filling.
