ABSTRACT Peroxidase in a medium containing a serum or serum protein can be stabilized by the addition of 4-amino- -antipyrine. In this case, it is irrelevant whether the peroxidase is present in isolated form or is coupled to an immunological material (e.g. to an antibody). There are described a method for the stabilization of peroxidase in a medium containing a serum or serum protein by the addition of 4-amino-antipyrine as well as thus-stabilized peroxidase.
