STABILIZED AQUEOUS SUSPENSIONS OF BROMINE-CONTAINING ORGANIC COMPOUNDS CONTAINING WATER INSOLUBLE INORGANIC THICKNESS AND THEIR USE FOR THE FLAMEPROOFING OF FIBER MATERIALS Abstract of the Disclosure In accordance with this invention, solid particles of bromine-containing organic compound are suspended in water with the aid of a surfactant and the suspension is stabilized against settling by the incorporation of finely divided particles of water insoluble inorganic thickener providing metal cations which coordinate molecules of water to increase the viscosity of the aqueous suspension.
