73330-32 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An aromatic polyester composition comprising an aromatic polyester derived from terephthalic acid and/or isothalic acid and a bisphenol and a stabilizer chosen from P- containing organic esters, O, or S-containing organic compounds or their mixtures. The composition is heat stable and can be used to prepare molded articles which are free from coloration and do not develop coloration even at high temperatures. The composition is also stable against decomposition and reduction of intrinsic viscosity at elevated temperatures.
