Abstract of the disclosure Nitrile copolymers and graft copolymers containing a high proportionate amount of olefinic nitrile are stabilized against thermal color degradation by inclusion into the polymer minor amounts of a compound having the formula: Image and/or Image wherein "X" may be oxygen; an imide groups, -NH? or an N-substituted imide group, -NR- wherein "R" may be an alkyl, or a phenyl alkyl group containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; "Y" may be an oxygen or a methylene group; and "Z" may be hydrogen or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms.
