3-15965/+/CGM 318 Stabilized polymer compositions Abstract New, unplasticized halogen-containing polymer com- positions containing: a) 100 parts of an unplasticized, chlorine-containing thermoplastic, b) 0.7-2 parts of thiodiethylene glycol bisacetoacetate of the formula (H3CCOCH2COOCH2CH2)2S, c) 0-0.5 part of a Ca, Ba and/or Mg salt of an aliphatic C8-C24-monocarboxylic acid or C8-C24-hydroxymonocarboxy- lic acid or of benzoic acid or tert.-butylbenzoic acid, d) 0.01-0.2 part of a Zn salt of an aliphatic C8-C24- monocarboxylic acid or C8-C24-hydroxymonocarboxylic acid or of benzoic acid or tert.-butylbenzoic acid, and e) 3-10 parts of epoxidized unsaturated fatty acid es- ters, are described. These compositions can, in particular, be employed for the preparation of PVC sheeting for food pack- aging and PVC bottles.
