65702-273 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermoplastic polyester resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester blended with 0.001 ~ 5 parts by weight of one or more kinds of phosphonite compounds represented by the following formula: Image (I) (in which R1, R2, R3 and R4 represent alkyl, substituted alkyl, aryl or substituted aryl groups having 1 ~ 25 carbon atoms which may be identical with or different from one another, and R5 represents an alkylene, substituted alkylene, arylene or substituted arylene group having 4 ~ 35 carbon atoms) and 0.001 ~ 5 parts by weight of one or more kinds of hindered phenolic compounds. The resin composition has an improved thermal stability and is useful for producing a shaped article by molding.
