ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed a composition for use as a stabilizer in, for example, synthetic resins, sythetic rubbers and lubricating oils, the composition having improved stabilizing properties against the effects of heat, light and oxygen and having improved non-staining properties. The composition comprises a diphenylamine compound of the formula (I), a phosphite compound of the formula (II), a thiodipropionate compound of the formula (III), and one or more selected from phenol compounds of the formulae (IV-A), (IV-B) and (IV-C) combined in a weight ratio of 1/0.1-10/0.2-10/0-5. Formula (I) is as follows: Image wherein R1 and R2 are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 3 to 12 carbon atoms, but R1 and R2 are not both a hydrogen atom. Formula II is as follows: Image wherein R3 to R8 are each a hydrogen ato or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. Formula III s as follows: Image wherein R9 and R10, which may be same or different, are each an alkyl group having 8 to 20 carbon atoms. Formula (IV-A) is as follows:
