An aqueous composition formed by mixing a hydrolysable silicon compound having a low solubility in water (e.g. a fluorosilane), a major proportion of water, and a surfactant, and which also contains an effective amount of a co-solvent (e.g. certain glycol ethers) which is sparingly soluble in water to improve the stability of the composition. The composition may be used for surface treatment.

L'invention concerne une composition aqueuse obtenue par le mélange d'un composé de silicium hydrolysable présentant une solubilité réduite dans l'eau (notamment un fluorosilane), d'eau en proportion importante et d'un tensioactif. Ce mélange contient également une quantité efficace d'un co-solvant (notamment certains éthers glycoliques) peu soluble dans l'eau, afin de renforcer la stabilité de la composition. Cette composition peut être utilisée pour un traitement de surface.
