A composition for forming molded metal containing articles having improved stability. More particularly, a corrosion resistant composition for forming injection molded articles having a sodium silicate corrosion inhibiting additive. The corrosion inhibitor prevents metal oxidation when a metal containing powder is mixed with a water based binder, providing stability to the article and preventing generation of hydrogen gas. This significantly enhances the shelf life of the moldable composition prior to molding.
La présente invention concerne une composition destinée à la formation d'articles moulés contenant du métal dotés d'une stabilité améliorée. L'invention concerne, en particulier, une composition résistante à la corrosion qui permet de former par moulage à injection des articles renfermant un additif inhibiteur de corrosion au silicate de sodium. L'inhibiteur de corrosion précité empêche l'oxydation du métal lorsqu'une poudre contenant du métal est mélangée à un liant à base d'eau, il confère une stabilité à l'article et empêche la production de gaz hydrogène. L'invention permet par conséquent d'augmenter de manière significative la durée de vie en stock de la composition de moulage préalablement au moulage.
