A stable oil-in-water emulsion suitable for parenteral administration, containing less than 10% by weight lecithin, consisting of an aqueous phase and of an oil phase which is very finely dispersed by means of a physiologically tolerated emulsifier and which contains at least one carotenoid and is based on a physiologically tolerated oil or fat and comprises as emulsifier polyoxyethylene/polyoxypropylene block polymers and/or lecithin, and wherein the carotenoid is present in the oil phase in a concentration above the saturation solubility of the carotenoid in the oil or fat at room temperature.
Émulsion stable d'huile-dans-l'eau pour administration parentérale, renfermant moins de 10 % en poids de lécithine, et constituée d'une phase aqueuse et d'une phase huileuse très finement dispersée au moyen d'un émulsifiant toléré physiologiquement; elle renferme au moins un caroténoïde et est à base d'une huile ou d'une graisse, tolérées physiologiquement, avec, comme émulsifiant, des polymères séquencés de polyoxyéthylène/polyoxypropylène et (ou) de la lécithine; la concentration du caroténoïde présent dans la phase huileuse est supérieure à la solubilité à saturation du caroténoïde dans l'huile ou la graisse à la température de la pièce.
