Stable foam caulk, sealant and insulation compositions are disclosed. The compositions comprise a waxy, solid foam stabilizer and a liquid lithophilic surfactant having low HLB value of about 3-14. The foam stabilizer provides stable support for bubbles formed from the drying of the latex emulsion of film forming polymer, and the volatile liquid hydrocarbon propellant. In addition to the use in caulking, sealant or insulation methods, the compositions can be used to form artificial terrains or other hardenable structural surfaces as backgrounds or support means for hobbies, crafts and the like.
L'invention concerne des compositions mousseuses stables pour le calfeutrage, l'étanchéité et l'isolation. Ces compositions contiennent un stabilisant mousseux, cireux, à l'état solide et un tensioactif lithophile liquide ayant un faible rapport hydrophile-lipophile, qui varie entre 3 et 14. Le stabilisant mousseux fournit un support stable à des bulles formées par séchage d'une émulsion de latex d'un polymère filmogène et d'un propulseur hydrocarbure liquide volatil. Lesdites compositions peuvent être non seulement appliquées à des procédés de calfeutrage, d'étanchéité ou d'isolation, mais également utilisées pour créer des terrains artificiels ou d'autres surfaces structurales durcissables pouvant constituer un support pour des activités artisanales ou de loisir ou des activités similaires.
