STABLE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DENTAL GEL CONTAINING FUMED SILICAS Abstract A stable aqueous hydrogen peroxide gel dentifrice for oral anti-gingivitis application having an acid pH of about 3-6 comprising a combination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic fumed silica gelling agent, hydrogen peroxide; about 20-40% by weight of a polyethylene glycol humectant, flavor, sweeten- ing agent, sodium benzoate, and a nonionic surfactant as the, essential ingredients, prepared by a process which comprises controlling the order of addition of the essential ingredients. Distilled (deionized) water is preferred in the formulation to prevent minimal contamination.
