The present invention provides methods and compositions for providing controlled protection for hygroscopic ingredients that will be exposed to moist or humid environments for significant periods of time by encapsulating the hygroscopic ingredients with a controlled-protection lipid coating. The methods and compositions are particularly useful for stabilizing a hygroscopic bioactive substance, such as choline or lysine hydrochloride, in an animal feed composition and also providing adequate rumen protection in ruminant feeds.
L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions permettant de réguler la protection d'ingrédients hygroscopiques qui seront exposés à l'humidité ou à des environnements humides pendant des laps de temps importants, par encapsulation de ces ingrédients hygroscopiques au moyen d'un enrobage lipidique à protection prolongée. Les procédés et les compositions décrites dans cette invention sont particulièrement utiles pour stabiliser une substance bioactive hygroscopique, telle que du chlorure de choline ou du chlorhydrate de lysine, dans une composition alimentaire pour animaux. Les procédés et les compositions décrites dans l'invention permettent également d'obtenir des aliments pour ruminants garantissant une bonne protection du rumen.
