ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is disclosed for preparing stable, high-capture-efficiency liposomes containing aqueous-soluble medicaments, by lyophilizing a liposome-forming lipid dissolved in a suitable organic solvent to form a lyophilized lipid, and hydrating the lyophilized lipid with an aqueous solution containing a suitable aqueous-soluble medicament.
