A stable thermally coaguable polyurethane, which can form moisture resistant polyurethane articles is comprised of water having therein an external surfactant, an electrolyte and polyurethane particles, wherein the polyurethane particles are comprised of a nonionizable polyurethane that has ethylene oxide units in an amount that is insufficient to render a stable aqueous polyurethane dispersion in the absence of the external surfactant. A portion of the ethylene oxide units are of a mono hydroxyl polyethylene oxide having a molecular weight of 400 to 1500, polyethylene oxide diol having a molecular weight of 800 to 3000 or combination thereof.

La présente invention a trait à un polyuréthanne stable apte à la coagulation thermique capable de former des articles en polyuréthanne résistants à l'humidité comportant de l'eau renfermant un tensioactif externe, un électrolyte et des particules de polyuréthanne, lesdites particules de polyuréthanne comportant un polyuréthanne non ionisable qui présente des motifs d'oxyde d'éthylène en une quantité qui est insuffisante pour donner une dispersion aqueuse stable à base de polyuréthanne en l'absence du tensioactif externe. Une portion des motifs d'oxyde d'éthylène est constituée par un oxyde de polyéthylène monohydroxyle ayant un poids moléculaire entre 400 et 1500, un diol d'oxyde de polyéthylène ayant un poids moléculaire entre 800 et 3000 ou une combinaison des deux.
