Abstract of the Disclosure Stackable container wherein the lid and mating base each having a flute pattern including a plurality of flutes extending around the periphery of the container. The flutes in both flute patterns are shaped to interlock with each other. The flutes in one of the flute patterns is offset by one-half of a flute from the flutes in the other flute pattern whereby a plurality of the containers when stacked on one another provide a stack interlock produced by the offset flute pattern on one container interlocking with the flute pattern on the adjacent container in the stack.
