ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention concerns hollow spools, made of paper or another organic material, which can be stacked together. The spools have internal projections forced by inwards-bent tabs which are punched out of the wall of the spool and which are designed to act as stops when several of the spools are stacked together. The projections ensure that, even if a high pressure is exerted on a stack of the spools, the spools cannot telescope significantly and get stuck inside one another.
