A representation of an amount of energy incident on a radiation sensor formed from multiple sens-ing elements coupled together along a direction parallel to a direction of propagation of the incident radiation is re-ceived. The radiation sensor has an adjustable border po-sitioned between any two of the multiple sensing ele-ments. From the representation, an amount of energy inci-dent on the radiation sensor is determined. A position of the border is selected based on the amount of energy inci-dent on the radiation sensor. After selecting the position of the border, an absorption characteristic of a region im-aged by the radiation sensor is determined.
La présente invention concerne la prise en compte d'une représentation d'une quantité d'énergie incidente arrivant sur un capteur de rayonnement constitué de plusieurs éléments capteurs réunis par montage selon un axe parallèle à un axe de propagation du rayonnement incident. Le capteur de rayonnement comporte une limite réglable située entre deux des éléments capteurs. À partir de la représentation, on détermine une quantité d'énergie incidente arrivant sur le capteur de rayonnement. On se base sur la quantité d'énergie incidente arrivant sur le capteur de rayonnement pour sélectionner une position de la limite. Une fois que la position de la limite est choisie, on détermine une caractéristique d'absorption d'une région dont la représentation est donnée par le capteur de rayonnement.
