ABSTRACT A fin-line resonance isolator has layers of hexagonal ferrite material that are stacked relative to one another so that the overall length of the isolator remains substantially constant as the number of layers of ferrite material increases. The isolator has substrate materials that are arranged so that the plane of circular polarization is shifted to a centre of the isolator. Isolators of the present invention are capable of producing improved responses over prior art isolators while reducing insertion loss and achieving a weight and volume saving.
