ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel stadium gymnasium or like chair which includes a back and hinged seat, the back including front and back walls in generally spaced relationship and merging with top,bottom and a pair of opposite side walls and defining therewith a generally hollow chamber. The back is made of two injection molded elements and at least a pair of recesses are formed by depressions in the material of the back wall adjacent each side wall. A generally U-shaped valley is formed from the material of the back wall in each recess opening in a directional way from the front wall thereby reinforcing the recesses for utilizing the latter to secure the back to a conventional chair back support bracket.
