The first embodiment relates to a stainless steel which contains C: 0.001 to 0.02%, N: 0.001 to 0.02%, Si: 0.01 to 0.5%, Mn: 0.05 to 0.5%, P: 0.04% or below, S: 0.01% or below, Ni: more than 3% to 5%, Cr: 11 to 26%, and one or more of Ti: 0.01 to 0.5% and Nb: 0.02 to 0.6% with the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The second embodiment relates to a ferritic stainless steel which has an alloy composition different from those of the first and third embodiments and satisfies the relationship (A): Cr+3Mo+6Ni >= 23 and the relationship (B): Al/Nb >= 10 with the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The third embodiment relates to a ferritic stainless steel which has an alloy composition different from those of the first and second embodiments and contains one or more of Sn: 0.005 to 2% and Sb: 0.005 to 1% with the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities.

Le premier mode de réalisation concerne un acier inoxydable qui contient de 0,001 à 0,02 % de C, de 0,001 à 0,02 % de N, de 0,01 à 0,5 % de Si, de 0,05 à 0,5 % de Mn, 0,04 % ou moins de P, 0,01 % ou moins de S, de 3 % à 5 % de Ni, de 11 à 26 % de Cr et un ou plusieurs éléments parmi de 0,01 à 0,5 % de Ti et de 0,02 à 0,6 % de Nb, le complément étant constitué de Fe et d'impuretés inévitables. Le deuxième mode de réalisation concerne un acier inoxydable de ferrite ayant une composition d'alliage différente de celles des premier et troisième modes de réalisation et satisfaisant la relation (A) : Cr + 3Mo + 6Ni = 23 et la relation (B) : Al/Nb = 10, le complément étant constitué de Fe et d'impuretés inévitables. Le troisième mode de réalisation concerne un acier inoxydable de ferrite ayant une composition d'alliage différente de celles des premier et deuxième modes de réalisation et contenant un ou plusieurs éléments parmi de 0,005 à 2 % de Sn et de 0,005 à 1 % de Sb, le complément étant constitué de Fe et d'impuretés inévitables.
