ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A walker for a cripple,which is adapted to go up and down stairs and which is characterized by telescopic legs which are adjustable to an unlimited number of positions in a rather instantaneous and safe manner. This walker for a cripple comprises a pair of front parts, each forming part of a post and telescopic leg assembly. The latter includes a downwardly-depending tubular depending tubular leg, a friction lock mechanism and a manual control element to adjust the adjustable leg in one of an unlimited number of positions.
