The invention is a portable, modular stairway unit for use on a building site during construction of a multistorey building, the stairway unit including: a stair run section with a plurality of rise-separated stair treads, the stair run section having an upper and a lower end; an upper landing connected to the stair run section at, or at a distance from, the upper end of the stair run section; a lower landing connected to the stair run section at, or at a distance from, the lower end of the stair run section; wherein each of the landings have portions that extend laterally beyond a width of the stair run section, the landings being devised to extend inwardly into respective upper and lower storey levels of the building when the stairway unit is situated adjacent to a face of the building; and anchoring means arranged to removeably secure the landings, in use, at the upper and lower storey levels thereby to provide a double-cantilevered mounting of the stair run section extending between the two building storey levels.
L'invention concerne une unité d'escalier portable, modulaire, destinée à être utilisée sur un site de construction pendant la construction d'un bâtiment à plusieurs étages, l'unité d'escalier comprenant : une section de gravissement de marches avec une pluralité de girons séparés selon une progression en hauteur, la section de gravissement de marches ayant une extrémité supérieure et une extrémité inférieure; un palier supérieur relié à la section de gravissement de marches à l'extrémité supérieure de la section de gravissement de marches ou à une certaine distance de cette extrémité; un palier inférieur relié à la section de gravissement de marches à l'extrémité inférieure de la section de gravissement de marches ou à une certaine distance de cette extrémité; chacun des paliers ayant des parties qui s'étendent latéralement au-delà d'une largeur de la section de gravissement de marches, les paliers étant disposés pour s'étendre vers l'intérieur dans les niveaux respectifs des étages supérieur et inférieur du bâtiment lorsque l'unité d'escalier est située de manière adjacente à une façade du bâtiment; et des moyens d'ancrage agencés pour fixer de manière amovible les paliers, en utilisation, aux niveaux d'étage supérieur et inférieur de manière à fournir un montage en double porte-à-faux de la section de gravissement de marches s'étendant entre les deux niveaux d'étage du bâtiment.
