ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Stairway jigs adapted to precisely measure the dimensions of steps over the main risers or a winding stair. A kit of at least two jigs is provided, each including extensible strips assemblies pivoted to each other at their ends. A first jig is quadrangular; a second one is triangular. Each strip assembly consists of two metal strips, slidable one over the other, and releasably intercon- nected by locking members, so as to be adjustably extensible accordingly with the dimensions of the steps. A third jig consists of one extensible strip assembly, to both ends of which are pivotally mounted abutment plates having a flat outer side adapted to adjustably abut against the walls opposite the straight stairs.
