The Stand Alone power supply system deploys a solar generator as the only power source and the double layer capacitors as the only energy storage systems. For stringent operational window requirements, the entire integral power supply system is composed of main and sub components as indicated in Figure 1. The main components of the system consist of the solar generators (A), and the double layer capacitor energy storage systems (C). The sub-components of the system consist of the solar maximum power tracking system and double layer capacitor systems isolators (B), and DC/DC converters with electronic sensors for specific required power range provisions (D). Said system is designed for applications in isolated and remote locations where commercial power is not readily available or which is deemed uneconomical. This system is aimed at providing the most efficient solar power supply system with very stringent operational requirements. For solar power supply systems with less or no stringent operational requirements, the integral power supply system is indicated in Figure 2.
