Canada - #3728 A B S T R A C T This invention encompasses a standard for determining glycosylated hemoglobin comprising a mixture of hemoglobin or methemoglobin and about 1% to 25% of the 2,4-dinitrophenyl derivative of hemoglobin or methemoglobin wherein a 2,4-dinitrophenyl group blocks the allosteric binding site of hemoglobin or methemoglobin.
