ABSTRACT A standing sunshade has a cover (6) with ribs (10) upon which is stretched a covering material (16) composed of separate sections (161,162) and having beads (24) on the side facing the ribs (10). The beads are inserted into longitudinal grooves (18,20) in the ribs (10) and have a narrow opening slit (22). Mounting the sunshade material and replacing individual sections thereof are thus made easier, and the resistance to wind of the material stretched on the sunshade frame is improved.
